Event
1. This event may generate media attention and you may be videotaped, photographed and/or interviewed for future broadcast or print stories.
2. By signing the application, you give rights to the Old 96 District Tourism Commission and the S.C. Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism to use photography and recipes from this cookoff featuring you and your team for all editorial, promotional and advertising needs of the agencies.

Food
1. All food for the contest must be prepared over campfire, either using logs, wood chips or charcoal-fueled fire. One bag of charcoal will be provided.
2. Consider cooking your favorite recipes, but all recipes must be prepared from scratch. All ingredients must be
listed in the recipe.
3. No frozen or pre-packaged food allowed.
4. Please prepare a minium of 3 full portions for judging.
5. Application and recipe must be received by September 2, 2008.

Judging
1. Field judges will be assigned to your campsite to ensure that you are cooking properly and to determine if you are following
the details as specified in the recipe you submitted.
2. Field judges will verify that compliance with all rules and regulations are followed. You must bring your own cooking gear, utensils, tables and set up.
3. Recipes will be judged on aesthetics, smell, taste and presentation.

Miscellaneous
1. Please be familiar with all outdoor cooking rules and regulations, especially appropriate temperatures for meat and fish,
posted by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control at www.scdhec.gov.
2. The participation fee is $25 for first recipe entered. Additional entries are $20 each dish with maximum of 3 entries.
